Castillo Hotel Son Vida, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mallorca

環境優雅城堡酒店位於環抱的山景之中可眺望大海，酒店中的設施古典與現代裝飾相得益彰，周邊有五個高爾夫球場，露天及室內遊池，花園也很精緻。有很多中世紀及文藝復興名畫真跡如委拉‘斯凱茲的《西班牙國王菲利四世》的肖像。這裡是達官貴人社會名流的必行之地，如摩洛哥國王王妃，西班牙國王家族成員，也是我國己故國家主席李先念一九八四年的下榻官方接待國賓酒店。

酒店態度非常強勢，我們帶者孩子無法入住，酒店經理説的很好聽説幫我們找他們旗下的其他酒店，但是最終什麼也沒有實現。 最終我們衹能自己再定其他酒店去住。我們的訴求就是讓攜程協調退定，然後把費用退回，但是跟攜程協調了3 天最終就是不退費。然後他們補償一部分費用給我們。這如何能接受！ 至今為止這件事情還是沒有解決，攜程這邊也是不斷的換人。沒有解決問題！

Amazing service, a gorgeous skyline and the atmosphere overall is fantastic. Thankful to Jasmin, Laura, Toni, Andres for such an unforgettable birthday I spent there. If you are in Palma, definitely visit this place. At least, book a breakfast or afternoon tea. Truly impressive, everything is 10/10!

I have just come back from this wonderful hotel and despite reading some negative reviews I couldn’t find anything to fault.This was our first stay her and really loved it. The staff are so lovely and it’s very noticeable how they have been trained to speak to guests. Nothing is too much for them,from breakfast staff..Paula who well fell in love with was just the most delightful girl who had the time to chat and nothing was too much for her. Pedro one of the concierge was a delight too telling us how he had been with the hotel for 31 years..You could just tell he was a long lasting employee. The pool staff were very accommodating,getting you towels and always helpful to move your umbrella into the shade! We checked in quickly and waited for our room as we were early so had a lovely light lunch at pool cafe. Good choices of food and drinks,nicely presented. Our room was on 7th floor and had a nice balcony to the side of the hotel so we got the sun in the morning. Bed and pillows were very comfy and have fallen in love with the BYREDO products in the bathroom which were amazing.Good bath,shower,large bath towels and excellent hot water and good water pressure.plenty of bottled water every day in room as there is no shops in walking distance of hotel.Hair dryer was excellent too.Breakfast was excellent and very high quality food,fruit,homemade granola and amazing types of breads . Lovely cakes and beigles,smoked salmon,smashed avocado and excellent cheeses and of course any egg you wanted.Also a selection of different yogurts and milks.The fruit selection was of highest quality.You went inside to get the breakfast in two areas but we ate outside.only the first weekend was it busy so had to eat inside. Breakfast is on till 11 am every morning which we really liked. Also the tea was excellent,fresh tea brewed in a pot,very good indeed and good latte coffee.My only minor comment would be I feel they need to install a hot water/coffeemachine to quicken the service to get your drinks. There is a bus stop outside hotel for 2 euros. The bus comes every hour at 15 min past the hour. It stops right outside El Corte Ingles in Jaume 111 and took 20/23 min. Coming back to be honest we picked up a taxi which was 11 euros.DO NOT use UBER as they charge double the price. Much cheaper to get taxi in street in Palma or order a taxi from hotel if you don’t want the bus.Sun loungers were easy to get at pool and no need to reserve early.They were also very comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant which was outstanding. Very high quality fine dining food which was beautifully presented on lovely crockery. Often you could hear the live music from the bar which was lovely as you were having dinner but the music stopped at maybe 8.30/9.Again staff were well trained and service was good.hotel has lovely inside/outside bar too. We had a welcome party a few days after we arrived and met with the General manager.lovely canopies were served together with a selection of cava/

The king has lost its crown. I have been visiting Castillo son Vida for at least 15 years as a family with a few breaks during that period but at least 10 out of the last 15. But this year the king has allowed its crown to droop with tired rooms, poor service especially around the pool side and now accommodating events rather than the residents. Our suite had air conditioning that pumped out air but no cooling, a bed that made squeaks than an undergrads dorm and frankly the place is in need of a good clean and spruce up. As a platinum Marriott member none of the usual benefits appear to apply. The hotel is now focused on external events at the expense of the residents as the external terrace, the jewel in the hotels crown was closed to residents to accommodate the young and beautiful of Palma. This was a huge disappointment for our family, loyal evangelists of the hotel. The property itself is fantastic but the operation of what was a great hotel has dropped to mid table mediocrity. There are better hotels in the island and in Palma.

Astonished to read the derogatory review currently on view. Visitors should not be deterred, it is quite contrary to the views of this guest who has enjoyed a superb stay in each of the past five years..in fact our first visit was in the sixties shortly after the hotel opened. There is a wonderful feeling of space, comfort, and elegance. The staff are outstanding in their energy, enthusiasm and genuine welcome. There are usually at least two people at Reception, the tables on the terrace immaculate, and the service first class. The choice on the terrace may be a little repetitive, but a special request never fails to satisfy. Perhaps also a review of how drinks by the pool are delivered to the correct guest May be considered, but breakfast is made special by the greeting by the smiling receptionist, the food splendid, the tea hot, and full choice of food. The lunch bar, perched in a breezy spot, above the pool perfect, and as for the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms…we slept. Blissfully. Lighting very good, bathroom accessible, and TV provided a very clear picture of all the main stations (BBC 1, 2, and ITV as well as Sky.) Perhaps the manager, David, I think could have found a smile and a touch of eye contact with guests, on his frequent rounds ? But back to the important thing for old codgers like us..the elegance, the quiet atmosphere (no kids) though perhaps one. Problem, how can adults, sitting quietly by the pool, find it necessary to shout in their conversations when standing in the pool ?..it amplifies, and I don’t want to hear lectures delivered from the pool. The pool staff, brilliant. Towels sorted, and umbrellas tilted in position even without asking. Can’t wait to come back. So, to the man who complained, which precipitated this outburst, you must have been n at another hotel

Delightful experience overall at Castillo, I had a minor disappointment at the main restaurant, the Gm Alejandro, in me asking for a table without a reservation. He pointed to tables I was asking to sit and shared these were reserved for Russians and Germans. Not sure why I or anyone needed to know the nationality of any guests, unless he was trying to say they are more important? I spoke with the manager, Amanda, the next day to provide my experience and this feedback and she was very apologetic. I did not ask for anything, however she could have made an effort to find me and provide insight as to how this was addressed. She could have done more to make me feel it was something they took care of and will never accept. I was a solo traveler at Castillo yet someone who has stayed at some of the most luxurious hotels in the world, Ritz Paris, Aman etc. this is not only disgusting to share with a customer but with any human being. The best experience I had was at the pool because the staff was very attentive and also accommodating, in particular Gabriele. He had the best energy and kept on top of any needs which really made that experience extraordinary. Thank you. All of the porter men were very helpful, with my luggage, getting my car and charismatic and friendly which was wonderful. Xavier at the front desk was also amazing to interact with and went above and beyond to book a tennis session last minute at a neighboring hotel.

We stayed at Castillo Son Vida last month and had a great stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was cleaned by 11 AM every morning. The facilities were amazing, including a good gym and spa. There was a wedding at the hotel during our stay, but the event was well-managed and took place in a separate area, so it didn't affect us at all. I highly recommend staying here.
